The STC conference on Learning and Teaching in Computing and Engineering (LaTiCE) was held with great success in Taipei in April 2015. The next conference will be held in Mumbai, India in April 2016. More information about the conference on the official web site, http://www.et.iitb.ac.in/latice2016/ Our next major conference is the IEEE/ASEE Frontiers in Education conference in Al Paso, TX in October 2015, http://fie2015.org The STC will also host a pre-conference Workshop at FIE 2016 entitled, "Implementing Best Practices in Engineering Education", the workshop leader is Professor Arnold Pears from Uppsala University, Sweden. Professor Pears has been involved in academic development and research on best practices in tertiary learning and teaching for the last 15 years. He is also an active member of the research community in computing and engineering education as author, and conference chair for many high profile conferences such as the IEEE/ASEE Frontiers in Education and ACM ITiCSE. |
